Rather than "are you carrying today?" or "Do you have your gun?" A person could ask a Spouse/Family CHL "Do you have your towel?"
a"Yes = "Don't panic, I know where my towel is"

The "42" reference above made me want to try and solve this. It has been a while but I believe the answer is correct. (That and I know how to use Google.)
@loadedliberal - 420 is often used as a reference to smoking pot and the 666, well need I say more? Did you have a hidden meaning?
420 Why? Cause the Beast will eX you.

This is my way of testing that thought.
This is simply the ultimate topic.

I tried letting x=y=1 as a sanity check. If your result is correct, I should get -246 from the equation. However, if I did it right (big if), I get (27/2)

I found this equation on the internet I had no clue at first it would come to "420" just though it would be an intresting addition to the thread here. Good job on solving it though or did you google it too.

I did not really solve it as it is a mathematical expression versus and equation; I just simplified the expression. After about five minutes I went to Google. Like shooting skills, math skills deteriorate over time if you do not use them.

I thought the same thing about MY math skills, when fiddling with it. So, if you just looked up the answer in the back of the book , did you try verifying the answer? Try substituting x=y=1 in both equations, and see if you get the same answer. For what it's worth, I didn't.
