WTB: Sig P239 9mm

#1

Post by RottenApple »

So I've gotten my wife into shooting. She's had a lot of fun with my guns but is wanting something of her own. She's fired several different pistols and has finally settled on the Sig P239 in 9mm. In fact, she spent some time this morning with Pawpaw's 239 and had a blast. Now my only task is to find her one (and then get purple grips for it. ).

Should any of you happen to run across a P239 in 9mm for $500 or less, can you shoot me a PM? We're in the DFW area. Naturally I'm keeping an eye on Bud's and CTD but would appreciate any help y'all can provide.

Check GT Distributors. I often see LE trade-in P239s in their Austin store. Usually in the $450 range.

One bid and 13 hours to go.....

This would be the least expensive I have found on that model.

Nuthin personal, but if I find one priced under $500 I buying that puppy for myself! ;-)

On a less sarcastic note, if you think that she might be interested, there is a SIG P250 (the SIG 2-Sum -- both the full size frame and the compact) on the Texas Hunting Forum posted http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/ ... ost2401257

Thanks for the tip. I checked with GT Dist here in Dallas and was told that they only sell their Sigs to LE & 1st Responders.

Thanks. I threw the first 2 back into the sea. This one I'll keep around for awhile.

I did think about .40 for her, but she's more comfortable with the 9mm. Can't beat the comfort level.

I appreciate the tip, but after talking things over with my dad, I opted not to go the Gun Broker direction. Only a 3 day, no-fire inspection period, no way to inspect the firearm before hand, cash/money order only so no CC protection, etc.

Only when we take trips to Sea World. We were talking about doing that sometime soon, but as my wife just went in for surgery this morning, it may be awhile.

UPDATE: And now she's out of surgery. All went well. Baruch Hashem!
