One of my favorites, just because they have always been really nice people and are very knowledgeable and eager to help, are the folks at Bauchman Gun and Pawn. It is on the corner of Northwest Hwy and Webb Chapel. I stop there just to shoot the breeze when ever I am in the area. :tiphat: Ask for John. Great 1911 guy. Dont let the Pawn part scare you away they run the gun side separately.

I'd suggest Ray's Gun Shop in Dallas on Singleton Blvd. I think their real name is Ray's Hardware & Sporting Goods. From my experience they have multiples of absolutely everything. I've heard complaints about their prices and sometimes their attitude, but I've not experienced any problems. I bought my last handgun (S&W Snubby) there because they had it when I wanted it.

Sporting Arms is definitely on my list. Also, Euless Guns and Ammo.

Technically it's not in the metroplex, but it's not far. Ammo Depot in Caddo Mills is a great shop.

What all do they have at the Euless Guns and Ammo? I live really close to there but have never been in because I always thought it was a gunsmith and not really a shop.

Euless Guns & Ammo has about 7 cases full of handguns, a wall the length of the store full of rifles and shotguns, a wall of ammo, and the usual other gun supplies you would expect. I was there again today and had them boresight a scope. They are gunsmiths also.

What he said....

They are a pretty good store, and I've bought several guns from them over the years, including my much-loved M1A.

Not a commerical type store, but last time I was there, they had quite a variety of items on hand. Not sure what you're interested in buying, but I remember seeing several Kimber, Glock, S&W, Bersa, Ruger, Sig handguns (among others). I often order something from them online and end up walking out with another item they had in stock (how I got my first Kimber).

Best bet is to give a call to see what they have and when it would be best to stop by & have a look (they have regular hours, but sometimes it can be a bit busy/crowded if you want to browse their on-hand stock).

Great Southwest Range has a nice selection, too. Their stock rolls over pretty regularly, so it's like a new candy store each time!
