March 2011 Applications
Moderator: carlson1
62 days for it to be in my hand. AND I have two prior arrests for misdemeanors.
if you mailed your packet in march, and still havent received it, call your state representative. they will call the DPS as soon as they get off the phone with you, and i guarantee it will speed things up.
i called my rep on day ~55, gave them my DL, DOB, address etc, and she called them right away, and then she called me back 10 mins later saying she got them to expedite the process. about a week later it was in my hand.

FInally got mine in. Two weeks after i called my rep, would have been sooner but the DPS lied(didn't tell the whole story) to the lady from Jim Pitts office.
Anyway, call, it does help.

Re: March 2011 Applications
Turns out I can blame California. Things were so unclear that I have to request a letter from Ventura County Superior Courts stating that I have no felony convictions. That in itself is a pain...
Luckily I still have family in CA whom will mail the letter today and then have the return envelope addressed to them as well so they can scan it in 15 days and email it back to me.
I also have had dialog via email with one of supervisors which has been very helpful.
-Waiting sucks but some waits are worth it!

Thanks for welcome and the congratulations just an update been out of pocket due to work but my license arrived May 25th. It was about 10 weeks I figured from packet send off to license arrival.Fedaykin wrote:Congrats Coolhand! Feels good to get some feedback doesn't it?
Since you're stuff popped up all green you'll more than likely only have a total of 35-40 days total turnaround. That seems to be what's typical right now.
I have heard times are getting shorter I just happened to hit my application right about the same time as electronic fingerprints mandated.
It was a great day when I opened that letter up and now armed with the information from other forum members I can be a part of the growing community at large.
Hope everyone has a blessed 4th and all enjoy it safely.
