Best place to sell used guns?
Craigslist doesn't allow them, eBay doesn't allow them.
Now that I bought a new CCW last week, a Walther PPS 9mm from the Arms Room in league city (who were extremely knowledgeable and helpful by the way!), I think it is time to get rid of a couple guns that I can't or wouldn't carry.
What are some good websites to list them for sale?
Thanks

Re: Best place to sell used guns?
This forum is a good place ONCE you've met the minimum required posts here on TxCHL (25 posts I believe). If your aren't in a hurry get your post number up and give the folks here the first shot. (pun intended) I have bought several on GunBroker and also sold a couple of items. GunBroker is easier to navigate and search than GunsAmerica at least for me. 45 posts is the minimum to sell though.

2cool fishing has an active classified section. Seems to be pretty quick turn around on most firearms and a huge following in the Houston area.

This forum is first choice
Second choice is http://www.texasguntrader.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... like craigslist or anything else, be cautious with people you meet from that web site, Ive never had a problem but potential is there. When I sell on there, I meet in a public parking lot and require state-issued I'D as proof of Texas residency and a bill of sale as proof that ownership of a particular firearm has been transfered (in case anyone comes to ask me about it later).

I've bought sold and met some cool people from texasguntrader.com and it's really simple to use

Depends on HOW used! Very used you might take advantage of some of the gun buyback programs!

I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.

Re: Best place to sell used guns?
thanks guys, I will post them up on texasguntrader.
and once I have the required posts, sometime in the future, I will be sure to use the board here. The minimum post thing is good rule to keep people from registering just to post an ad, and I think it would violate the spirit that rule for me to be a post whore in order to get the upgrade!
In the mean time, texasguntrader looks like a great site. thanks again!

Re: Best place to sell used guns?
I dont see why you couldnt put a post on your wall saying "I have a gun for sale, with details".. I don't see it any differently then saying "Anyone want to buy a used car"... however if it is reported to Facebook, there may be something in the Terms of Use that prevent it, but worse case, first offense, probably just take down your post.jcarp02 wrote:Is there anything against posting on facebook?
