Thats ok, there's enough of us around that have seen him shoot and teach to toot his horn for him...seamusTX wrote:I want to add that Tom Estep (ElGato) also teaches bullseye handgun, skeet, and trap one-on-one or in small groups. He's a good instructor and also has a knack for teaching ladies. You will have as much fun as he does, or vice versa.
He's too modest to toot his own horn.

I also took the class Friday and I can attest to the fact that Tom is not only a wonderful teacher with a good story telling manner about him, but I could tell he had a knack for teaching ladies...he carried my target to each station. I adapted to the "special" treatment.seamusTX wrote:I want to add that Tom Estep (ElGato) also teaches bullseye handgun, skeet, and trap one-on-one or in small groups. CHL Class on 2/10/07
Hi Folks,
I just joined the forum after learning about it from Tom last Saturday (2/10). I was there for a license renewal and thoroughly enjoyed the class, taught by Tom and Tammi. Very nice and competent folks. In fact, I thought enough of Tom's skills to put my name on the list fora Basic training course. I would highly recomment the instruction by Tom and Tammi to anyone going for a CHL. It's even worth a long drive.

Welcome aboard Papabear37. Glad to have you. We have several very competent instructors on the board from all over the state.
You chose a good man as well as a good teacher.
You will really have a good foundation when you finish the basic class as a follow up.

Hello PB! Welcome to the forum. You chose some fine folks for CHL instruction. Tom was my instructor when CHL was created in Texas and I am also proud to call him a friend. We are neighbors...hopefully we can shoot together sometime. Have a great day and enjoy that basic pistol class.Papabear37 wrote:Hi Folks,
