That pic was taken 2 years ago when she picked it out. She has done a few mods since then. Added hiway bars, bags and windshield.gemini wrote:FINALLY ! It's fixed. Kids are smart. Like the choppers. Like the Fat Boy paint, looks like denim silver.RPBrown wrote:

We saw the choppers at a swap meet last November and the girls loved them. Guess what Santa delivered. Those 2 love riding with Pawpaw or daddy.

Thanks. It is the only bike I've owned so far... but I love it! The only thing I would like is to have it a little louder. The stock exhaust pipes look good enough, but they are really quiet.gemini wrote:Nice. I'm not up on all the Yamaha's/Stars, but the folks I've talked to that ride 'em all seem to be happy.
Ride safe.

Re: Post a pic of your MC
I'll try to remember to get a picture of my bike this weekend, but I haven't figured out how to post a picture here yet.
Edit: I think I've figured it out. I've been looking in the FAQ, but this time I did a search and found it. I've never noticed that at the bottom of the "post" window.

The fairing & trunk were installed by us, and are both aftermarket. I don't recall the brand name of either. She was the one who did the internet searching & buying for what she wanted. I was just the fabricator figuring out to make it work. The bags color-matched from Yamaha that were bought when she bought the bike new.gemini wrote:Is the Vstar batwing stock, or a Woody's (other) ?

Re: Post a pic of your MC
I am the second owner for the second time. The original owner bought the thing new in '78. We have swapped it back and forth a couple of times. it is currently not running right now, but soon will be. It is a hoot to ride, shakes a vibrates a lot. I find myself grinning a giggling like a little girl when riding the thing. Looks and sounds like a motorcycle ought to, even a bit of oil to mark its spot. But then at least you know it has oil in it, right?RPBrown wrote:The XS650 is just like the first brand new bike I ever bought

Re: Post a pic of your MC
My wife's 1100 Vstar has the Hard Khrome long straights, they sound sweet. They have baffles so not too loud. The bike was sitting on the showroom floor with the pipes, Hyper-Charger, Windshield, a sissy-bar backrest on it. She fell in love with it. She loves the Hpyer-charger aircleaner, has a flapper that wiggles back and forth when idling. I am not sure how much it helps with performance, but it makes her happy.jacobsd8195 wrote:Thanks. BTW, this is her 4th bike.

Thanks. Just wondering. From the pic I think the fairing looks good.martywj wrote:The fairing & trunk were installed by us, and are both aftermarket. I don't recall the brand name of either. That's a great looking pair. I've always like the looks of the Futura, but they are pretty rare.buck000 wrote:Potential License Revocation Unit and occasional track day tool on left.
