Should I be concerned?

I mailed my packet on Fed 22 and my status still shows: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.

Is this normal or should I start thinking that the mail might have screwed up?

it takes about 2 weeks (sometimes a bit longer) for the mailed documents to show up online, so I wouldn't get too worried.
I would ask though, did you send your documents via Return Receipt mail? if so, did it show arrived yet?

No I didn't, I let the guy at the post office convince me it would not do any good since the package was going to a P.O. box.

I just need to relax , but have been worried since I sent it regular mail....

I also applied on Feb. 22, 2011. When I check online it says "Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. " -- just like yours. Today is March 21. Since we have the same issue, I suppose it is normal.

submitted on 2/22, but today, I have an update!! Mine now says:

"License Status: Application packet has been received from the applicant, the application is in progress."

Application : Received
Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

BTW, I'm going monday to have digital prints taken... i'm not happy about paying for this service a second time, but if it helps speed up my application, I'll deal with it
