Re: Ruger LC9
Kahr is coming out with a less-expensive version of their PM9 which should fall in the same price range as the Ruger LC9.

Do you have any release date info? Or did you just hear the rumor? (In this case, rumor means heard the word but haven't seen in stores, not implying lack of basis in fact.)

Kahr CM9 goes on sale in April. Same size as PM9 however it will be similar to CW9 fit and finsish. This gun will be a great seller!

Re: Ruger LC9
CM9 ships March 21st, Budsgunshop has it listed for $411. Same platform and size as the PM9, with a few less bells and whistles. CM9-MIM slide stop, less machining on slide, non adjustable front sight, standard rifling vs polygonal, etching on slide vs rollmark, and 1 magazine

Re: Ruger LC9
Carters Country has them in the latest ad for $429. I haven't stopped by to see if they actually have any in stock, but I am planning to go go there on the way home to get something else, so I'll let y'all know if I see any LC9's.
Carters is usually a little on the high side for prices (higher than Academy anyway), so they may be able to keep them in stock in case you are willing to pay more to get one right away.

Re: Ruger LC9
We received a call yesterday from one of our distributors who had LC9's. I was ready to order a bunch of them until he told me we could only have 1 as they want to spread them around to all of their dealers. If sombody is actually selling them for $323 they are making around $10.00 on the gun. I expect the street price to be around $350 in a year once the production has ramped up to the demand, in the mean time I would guess in the $375 to $400 range....

Re: Ruger LC9
I was just at The Arms Room, they have one there that I looked at.
Its only about 1/2 inch shorter in length than my Springfield XD9sub compact, and about 2/3' the width.
Not small enough for me to justify it, but it looked nice and did have a nice feel

Academy is going to charge $355.00 once they start stocking it.
They have it in the system and are waiting for inventory.

Here's the scuttlebutt on my trip to Academy tonight. I go to the one on Hwy290 @ FM1960. They, of course, had none. But, the nice guy at the counter did his computer search and told me they have 11 in the Texas pipeline at $359. If you are lucky enough to live in Corpus, Kileen, Lubbock, or Waco, you may be able to drop in this weekend and snag one. Those are the only store they mentioned tonight.
If I had $359+ sitting around doing nothing, I'd be going to Academy this weekend. I'd at least go check it out.
By the way, I swung by Jim Pruitt's place in Cypress on Huffmeister and the guy told me they had none, didn't know when they'd get one and didn't know how much they would charge for one.

Re: Ruger LC9
I have a M&P 9C that i shot tonight for the 1st time in awhile. Took a couple of clips to get reaquainted with the feel.
I also have a sig p238 (nice shooter). I'm starting to think this is enough for pocket carry.
I'd have to rent one of the new micro 9's to see what they are really like. Collatoral damage issues scare me.

Re: Ruger LC9
I got an LC9 a few weeks ago. I think it will make an excellent IWB carry if it turns out to be reliable. It is fairly thin, and thin is the name of the game for IWB carry IMO. Much more comfortable than a snubby IWB. It can be pocket carried, but you need a large pocket to do that. Something like a large cargo pocket. Here are some comparison pictures of the LC9 and the LCP. Also some pictures of an IWB holster and front pocket holster I made for the LC9.
