Fingerprints rejected....the wait gets longer

#1

Post by radio_tek »

Well for my wife and I the clock has stopped. We both had our fingerprints rejected and will now need to have them redone. We first had them done by an “experienced LEO at a local Sheriffs office, well we both noticed that they didn’t have the clean look but were a little smudged. No choice but to send them in, as only one set of cards are provided with the packet. I only wished that I had found this forum before we had them done manually as we would have went with the “F.A.S.T. option. We will go that route now as soon as we can get an appointment. So for now we will pull up a couple of chairs and wait…

At least it's a part that's just a 'do over'. You're in good company here, if that helps.

Welcome aboard.

A welcome to you both from me too. Mine were also rejected this time & I had to have them redone. It was for renewal so I did not have a lase in time that I was w/o.
The company is good in the WR. Use the time to get acquainted & practice. NE Texas you say. Several on the board from up your way. Atlanta was the 1st place we lived when coming East in 1972. Welcome again.

radio_tek, welcome to you and your wife. Glad you both decided to get your CHL together, and I hope this causes only a short delay.

My wife and I finally got an appointment with our nearest F.A.S.T. facility, so maybe Monday afternoon our re-prints will be on there way back to Austin.
Hope the clock just re-starts not starts over.

When did you mail in your application? Just curious how long it took from the day they received it to the day they rejected the prints. Had a concern about my prints as well.

You know, I wish some of the LEO'S that do the prints at the classes would take a little more time when doing the prints.

The last renewal I just had done, the guy did about 30 people's prints(some 1st timers had 2 cards) VERY quickly. The quality was not very good at all. I was surprised mine didn't get rejected. I have had my prints done at least a dozen times for CHL, professional Licensing, and Security clearances, and these were the worst.

Maybe the Instructors could stress to the Printers how important it is to us that they don't get rejected.
Be insensitive....Tell the truth !!

The fingerprint issue has cost my wife and I several weeks of extra time. We are as of now 84 days into the process. The wait goes on and on….
