I checked DPS status after 6pm last night, but my status changed before 8am this morning.

1/10 - Mailed packet to DPS by certified mail (Austin local)
1/10 - FAST fingerprints
1/14 - Status first showed on DPS website with fingerprints and background check pending
1/25 - License is manufacturing pending! Woot!

i'm amazed at how quickly some of your applications are being processed. i sent my packet on January 3rd and have 1 arrest listed on the application, i was at least expecting a request for court documents and the arrest report by now, but still nothing. when i call or email, i get the same response... "At this time a technician is needing to verify that anything found in the background investigation is non disqualifying". it's a class b misdemeanor (which was expunged from my record 11 years ago), i didn't realize it would take them so long to get back to me about this. oh well, guess i have no option but to keep waiting.

I've been checking the DPS website nearly every evening for the past two weeks to keep up with my application.

12/31/10 - Took CHL Class (application and fee were already done online)
1/3/11 - Mailed my materials to DPS (from Houston)
1/25/11 - Pending Manufacturing
