Company CHL Class

#1

Post by Teamless »

(This post is not to get others to join, just bragging about our company for a minute)

I just thought I would post that our company will be holding a CHL class for anyone at our company, their families and friends. Our company is pretty small, 50 employees, and currently to my knowledge only 3 or 4 of us have our CHLs, but others of course may, but they have not talked about it.

The last count was 8 or 9 employees and another 11 family and friends who will be attending.
Another cool thing, our company is covering 1/2 of the class fees.

So hopefully another 20 or so responsible people will be apply in the next couple of months, and of course, I will steer them to this forum for their continuing eduction.

:txflag: Sounds like a good company to work for. I wish I would be allowed to carry at work, but I don't see that happening. :patriot:

That's awesome...

If it's allowed (forum rules and all??), you should give your company a quick plug here..
If they sell anything that I use, I'd certainly try to give them my business..

Well, I never did say we were allowed to carry at work, to which we are not allowed (by verbal statement) :grumble, that is the next step in the evolution here, so if we cannot change the policy!

Not sure it is allowed, but I still wouldn't do that, without the companies approval and they are not doing this for recognition, but because it is good for the employees when they are not at work.

My employer is so anti-gun they ripped a glock sticker off of my tool box because they considered it threatening :mad5 :mad5 :mad5
It is easier to get an airport security clearance than a CHL

I hope he disposed of it properly instead of throwing it on the ground, It could stick to someone's shoe causing a fall. Those Glock stickers are dangerous, but I guess many tools are too. :smilelol5:

Latest count, with friends and family participating, is about 30! I do not personally know the instructor, but whomever it is will have a long day! LOL

Well, our company had 24 people (not all employees, but all got the nice savings on the course anyway) show up for the class, and all passed! a number of them, that I worked with, have all already done their apps and sent in the prints (rolled) prior to March 1 electronic change.

The class was such a hit, we are going to have another one in another month or two.

Now I just wish they would let us carry at work (go figure right, they will pay for the class, but we cannot carry at work - verbal statement from them)
That is the next push, at least from me!
