I want to do business with other CHL's
I am looking for a living room suite. Need a sofa and a love seat. Leather perferrably. While in the furiniture store today, the salesman had my business until he made a comment about gun ownership. (Stacy's Furniture on 75) His comment, "Why would any idiot feel the need to carry a gun all the time" Cost the store a rather large purchase.
That got me to thinking....Why not JUST do business with other CHL's or 2A supporters?
So here goes....If any one knows of a CHLer or 2A supporter with a furniture store...Please post it on this thread.
In the future I will also need an electrician, and an HVAC technician. I found someone for windows this weekend during the shoot and eat.
Lets keep the CHL 2A dollar in the gun friendly community as long as possible.

I like that idea, I think I'll start doing the same.

I like your idea. I do HVAC work and have a TACL as well so I can purchase the equipment.
What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?
Re: I want to do business with other CHL's
I have a HVAC guy in Garland that is definitely 2A friendly. He doesn't yet have his CHl, but I'm working on him. He carries under MPA currently. I can send his contact info if you're interested.

This is a good idea especially in a society where dollars speak louder than words
It is easier to get an airport security clearance than a CHL

Great idea! Maybe Mr. Cotton can start a section just for CHL friendly businesses.

Help support the Second Amendment by joining the NRA! We would not have a CHL program without them!

I had a similar incident at a furniture store only it wasn't about guns. My family and I walked in to the store and were looking around at new living room furniture. The majority of the sales people were not busy and sitting down. I walked over and asked if we could get some assistance. They said yea in one minute. So, I walked back and kept an eye on them. They continued to sit there for 10 more min. At that point I walked over and asked to speak to the manager and informed him why we were angry and that we would be taking our money elsewhere.
Another time I took the wife and kids out to get my wife some new diamond earrings (not only does she love diamonds but it is her birthstone). We walked into a jewelry store and were looking around. A girl at the counter looked right at us and didn't say anything. Ok, no big deal. At that point two more couples came in and she immediately greeted them very politely and started to show them jewelry. We immediately left and found a different store to purchase her earrings. As soon as we had them I walked back into the first store and asked to speak to the manager. I explained to her what happened and why we took our business elsewhere and showed her the receipt of the purchase they had missed out on.
I can only assume that the jewelry store incident was due to how we were dressed. Country shirts, jeans and cowboy boots. The only reason I say that is that it was not the first time we were dressed like that and ignored in a jewelry store and the people that came in after us, in suits, were greeted very politely and helped before we were.
Just because someone does not look like they "belong" in your store does not mean that they will not be spending money in your store. Also, you have NO idea the beliefs of the person that is in your store. It is best to keep your personal opinions to yourself or you could lose business.

For an answer to your furniture purchase, try Gallery Furniture.
Mack, the owner, carries custom 1911's and in the past has paid for all of his sales people to get their CHL's. I don't know if that is still his policy, but I do know that it was several years ago.

We have this happen quite a bit. My wife is an attorney (settle down guys..Shes one of the good guys) but she does not wear business clothes unless she is at the office. Many times when we are shopping, whether it is for a car a watch or a house...she is in sweat pants. It is amazing how often we get ignored.
BTW...My signature line is 100% serious. If you have a real estate need, and you allow me to earn your business, I will make sure that your house is properly defended with a defensive 12 (or 20) guage..

Too bad you don't live here in Houston. I want to look at the Housing Market locally.
