My wife was almost as excited as me getting my plastic today. It was barely in my wallet before we were loaded up and on the way to Walmart. On the way there, we ran into a friend from our old church who told us a rather chilling story about an invasion in their house last night when they weren't home. Perp was arrested and wracked up several felony counts along the way and nobody was hurt except him (K-9 unit got ahold of him). Not that there was any doubt in our minds about getting a CHL but it just goes to show that bad things can happen anytime, anywhere.

On a happier note, a box of WWB and McDonalds (Yay McRibs!) were acquired. There are pics but my phone is dead at the moment.

Congrats. I wanted to run to Wally World with mine, but I am in the middle of a HUGE honey-do list, and didn't think I could get away with it. The next day we had errands to run (Home Depot and lunch), so I took it then. I'm not even sure if she knew, but she probably would have guessed. We have are going to run a bunch of errands tomorrow, so I'll be carrying then too. I'm still waiting for my holster, so I had to use the paddle that came with the gun. What I learned is that I want a t-shirt in between me and the paddle/gun. Next week I'm making a 1200 mile round trip through states that have reciprocity with Texas, so I'll be carrying for that. I was surprised, I didn't feel weird or self-conscious at all. The only thing I felt was that I needed to get a better holster (which is already on order but won't be in for about 3 weeks).

Congrats !!!!!!!!!

McRibs?

Be sure to wash your hands if they get greasy, don't want your gun flying away due to greasy fingers.

Should you even eat McRibs with the fingers? No, eat the fingers separately.

Would that make the perp "dog tired"?

Sorry, couldn't resist.
