Dallas Area Texas Self-Defense & Deadly Force Laws Seminar
A very important question was brought up in another thread (Dallas meet and greet).
Who in the DFW area is interested in attending a Texas Self-Defense & Deadly Force Laws Seminar sponsered through http://www.TexasFirearmsCoalition.com ?
I will be happy to spearhead the event, and setup location and soforth.
as Griffen said in the original post:
"Seems there are enough in the DFW area to warrant a seminar, and would show support for Mr. Cotton's new organization. I would expect this to be a constant topic of interest, especially among new CHLs like me."

Absolutely! There was a great deal of interest for it when I tried to get sponsorship for it at UTD. I ran into nothing but brick walls. Even the UTD PD didn't want to touch it. If you can find a place to hold it, there will be plenty of people attending.

If Charles will give me his available dates, I can set it up at Cabela's in Ft Worth.

Cabelas in FW maybe too far for many. Midway location. Closer to dfw is better

We can start scheduling seminars all over the State beginning Monday, Jan. 17th. I prefer to do them on a weekday evening because of potential schedule conflicts on the weekend, but some Saturdays will be available.Crossfire wrote:If Charles will give me his available dates, I can set it up at Cabela's in Ft Worth.

I am certainly interested! If I am in town I'll be there. Cabela's is great for a week end - I live near Whiterock in Dallas (sort of the opoosite end of Texas from Cabela's for an evening trip - but then again..... ). I really do want to hear Mr. Cotton's presentation.
Thanks for working on this. Personally, I am aware of a number of people that have expressed interest in attending. Any idea on how large a group Cabels's can handle for something like this?
Thanks,

I would be interested!
Guns are like parachutes, if your ever in a situation that you need one and you dont have one, you'll probably never need one again.

I would be interested in attending as well. And I would prefer somewhere more central than Cabela's. Especially if it is going to be a weeknight.
