A Beretta + holster + "lesson" for $750 doesn't sound like a bargain to me at all.
I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.

If the free lesson is 3-5 days with a top trainer, it's a bargain.swc007 wrote:is a beretta model 92 9mm, holster, "one free lesson" worth $750? im not this dumb but my friend is... was telling him to wait to see about the gun show... i got a kimber custom 1911 for that price... haven't seen the holster (sure its garbage)...But aren't there better pistols out there for $750? im not a fan of beretta
If the free lesson is an hour or two with some yahoo, he should wait for a gun show. MSRP for a brand new, never been abused, Beretta 92 is around $650.
This will only hurt a little. What comes next, more so.
Re: beretta 9mm?
Average cost on gunbroker is $500 to $600. So.....

Re: beretta 9mm?
I picked up a barely used M9 with 5 magazines with the original packaging + some carbon fiber grips for $450 a couple weeks ago from a friend. It had maybe500 rounds fired through it by then and about a hundred of those were by me.

Re: beretta 9mm?
No way - I sold a 1 year old 92FS with approx. 450-500 rounds through it a year ago for $450.00 with a Blackhawk IWB holster alonf with the original boxes, manual, etc.
You should be able to get a new one at Academy in the $550.00 - $600.00 range. I bought mine new at Academy 2-1/2 years ago for $499.99.

Don't take the deal unless a week long all inclusive vacation somewhere nice is included........
Re: beretta 9mm?
Sort of reminds me of a blued Taurus PT92C (the 92 Compact version)I keep seeing at gun shows over the last 3 years. It's not in great condition, but it works, nothing special about it, has a few dings in the grips.
The guy has a sign "Discontinued model collectors item $650.00" (maybe $695.00 I don't recall)
Every time I see him I mention there are about 3 online in Stainless, better condition, around $300-$350
There's at least one blued PT92C for $389 on gunsamerica now,. and one sold for $200.00
His response "I don't care ... some one will pay this price"
Been 3 years so far that I've noticed it on his table, same sign.... same response.
I'd consider buying it ... if it were Stainless ... and $300 cheaper

Re: beretta 9mm?
I got my 92FS NIB last year from a local gun shop for $525. A leather holster cost me $45. So unless there is something super special about the one for sale, $750 seems a little too high (in MY opinion)!
