IWB Holster for Laser/Light Equipped Firearm?

#1

Post by Horseman »

I carry an M&P 40 with the new Viridian C5L Green laser/light combo. It is the smallest, lightest, sweetest combo ever. Here is the link http://www.viridiangreenlaser.com/virid ... aser-sight" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I bought an OWB holster from Viridian made for that set up but it is terrible. It is a belt holster, leans away from the body and is totally un-concealable. I ordered the Cross Breed Super Tuck Deluxe which is awesome but wont allow me to carry with the laser/light. I am thinking if I can find a Kydex holster made for the combo that I could install it on my CrossBreed Super tuck for a custom rig.

Does anyone know of a Kydex holster that will fit the M&P 40 with the Viridian C5L on it?

I'm not familiar with the Viridian C5L but the Raven Phantom LC is a good holster.

Congrats for your laser/light? How does it hold zero? DId you have a chance to zero it and have some range time with it?

As for the holster, you can either do a custom Kydex skin or use a belly band.

You say the holster leans out, away from your body? Are you using a gun belt?

While a poor OWB holster can cause that, it seems to be more common with a wimpy belt.

By custom Kydex skin do you mean have it formed for my gun and laser? Where can I get that done? I am in the Houston, TX area.

The belt is thick and stiff but I generally don't like belt holsters. If I wear an OWB holster it is usually a paddle holster. The holster is the problem here. It also has terrible retention and isn't adjustable. Thanks for the comment though.

I have had several hundred rounds through my gun with the laser and the zero holds very well. I am thrilled with it.

You'll be amazed at the size, quality and weight of it. It weighs almost nothing. It's worth every nickel. I have wanted a light and laser for a long time but this is the first one that is small and light enough that it isn't just a ridiculous toy. Viridian really got it right with this one.
