Um. No. They can't. They really can't :banghead:

Actually they already can buy guns even with the law in place, they do so the exact same way that every other prohibited persons buys theirs .... illegally.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

You know, I have zero problem with anyone taking an opposing viewpoint - but adults should be well beyond having to flat-out lie in order to win a debate, and that sort of deception should be spot-lit and shown for the craven untruth that it is.

Or they could just continue stealing them.

Seems to me "they" said the same sort of thing about allowing teenagers to vote back in the 60s.

An excellent point, Jim. :tiphat:

It's worth remembering that, at some point in history, "they" have said similar things about women, people of colour and most everybody else who wasn't part of their clique. Oddly enough, despite all the battles that "they" have lost over the years, the world has yet to come to an end.

Funny thing, "they" don't have a problem forcing teenagers to register for the draft or letting them go to war or drive cars or work dangerous jobs.

Young teens can be certified and tried as adults and not as juveniles.
16 to drive unaccompanied
17 to join the military
18 to vote and be tried as an adult
21 to drink alcohol
24 to be considered independent of one's parents for federal college grants and loans
As a teacher... if a child is 10 years + and gets in a fight a school they can be legally charged with assault in J. Court. We had a teacher at our campus press charges on a 12 year old...

This story made the Houston news last night. It's interesting to me how the media, when talking about concealed carry of a handgun, they always show video or pictures of AK's and AR's...as if to imply that there will be teens walking around with an AR15 tucked into an IWB holster. This report is no different!

Adults aged 18-20 can already buy and carry (OC or CC) rifles such as AR and AK style semiautos. So much for FOX being fair or balanced.

25 to be elected to the House of Representatives
30 to be elected to the Senate
35 to be President, which leads to one of my biggest pet peeves with the Presidential order of succession; if the Speaker of the House can be as young as 25 and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate can be 30, it can then skip directly from the VP to the cabinet members, who, being appointed rather than elected, have, IMO, no business being in the succession at all.

I think that puts me near my comma quota for the day.
