I wish this was like your TxDL, where you get a "temp" card to carry until you get your plastic.. your instructor could sign a temp card for you to carry.. I know, it will never happen, but i can dream

Hey guys I got my license early september (mailed aug. 10th) I recommend that if you don't have a holster yet....I would get it before you get the license because its just more waiting lol...ordered my crossbreed late so I have to wait three weeks before I get it...would also be great to get used to carrying around the house.......just a thought. BTW carried my gun in walmart and it was awesome haha :anamatedbanana

I got my holster last week, and have been wearing it around the house for an hour or so here and there... I just wish the state would update my status.. its been a week since they got my paperwork.. and the website still shows nothing.

I got a reply back that a new CHL takes 60 days and a renewal takes 45. I replied back asking if they meant 60 days for a status update on the website? and they replied back, no my status on the website would be updated in 2-4 weeks from acceptance of my paperwork. so, ive got 1.5 weeks down, 2.5 to go until the website is updated, from there.... who knows.

Just curious does anyone know how long it takes for the DPS to print the liscense? My fiance's status has been Manufacture Pending since Wednesday the 15th. On the other hand her status took a little over 45 days to come back complete. Thanks.

I checked the website today and had

green checkmarks next to:
Affidavits
TxDL
Citizenship
Passport Photo Holder
Photo
Proof of classroom training
Proof of proficiency training
Fee

Yellow Yield next to:
Application
Fingerprints
Background check
Concealed Handgun License: Print Pending Completion of Application review

not sure how long that will take, but at least im making progress.

I take it the red boxed text stating "you are not eligible for any services at this time. This could be due to etc..." means that they haven't yet processed anything and not that there is any problem per se?

Coming up on 2 weeks since I mailed the class paperwork which has been mailed and received. Did the apps online before I took the class.

I really didn't think the wait was going to get me this antsy...wow :

I am officially an idiot. Here I was, waiting on a PIN number to come in the mail like my hubby got last year. I finally went to the DPS/CHL site and realized I can login with my SS and DL!

So it appears they're just waiting on my prints and background check. I have not even a traffic ticket on my record, so I'm hoping it will go quickly, and I'll have my plastic soon...

All that's left to do is twiddle my fingers down to the bone!

if it were me, i would take that as you arent eligible for a CHL at this time for whatever reason..

I never saw anything like that even before they started processing my application

I mailed my application on Monday and had delivery confirmation that it got there on Wednesday. Nothing has been updated online yet.
