MAILED!!!
Checked my status this morning and there it is in lovely black letters with a green background... MAILED!


Maybe I will have it by Saturday.

Xperthunter, did you get an update yet? I know we are hitting the same dates.

INDEED! Mailed status this morning. If they drop it in the box we are looking at Fri/Sat delivery. Hopefully they really mailed it yesterday and the system just updated this morning!

07/24/10 - Took CHL Class (Saturday)
07/25/10 - Qualified at the Range (Sunday)
07/26/10 - Sent full application to DPS
07/27/10 - DPS received Application
07/29/10 - Showed up in system - Pending Fingerprints & Background Check
08/07/10 - Fingerprints cleared
8/13/10 - Background check cleared!!! (YAY) - Pending manufacturing
8/17/10 - Mailed - Damn it, my CB Super Tuck won't be here till next week!!!
8/20/10 - PLASTIC IN HAND!!!!!!!!! TIME FOR THE WALLY WALK!!!!

That's nice. You mailed yours a full week after I mailed mine, my fingerprints were approved 1 day before yours, and my background check is still under review. Gotta love an efficient system.

Congats to those who've received and I'm sure the rest of us will have news soon. Seems alot on her are suddenly getting good news so it might be a backed up system.

I still hate waiting.

This is the worse part of it!!! I get like my dog, all excited when the mail man gets here. I go run out to the mailbox even before he puts my red flag up. But no license today. Hopefully tomorrow or friday. Im sure that yours will update within a couple of days. It seems that the horror stories of before are gone.

Mine was mailed yesterday, hopefully it arrives today.

My wife's info is the same as mine accept: Visible on website 8/16/2010, FP done by the time it was visible w/ BCG pending. 8/18/2010 BCG Complete, Manufacture pending.

[7/10/2010] Took CHL Course
[7/12/2010] DPS took receipt of packet with fingerprints, photos, proof of training, etc.
[7/??/2010] Fingerprints cleared quickly
[8/9/2010] BGC Cleared / Manufacturing Pending
[8/17/2010] Status: Mailed
[8/19/2010] PLASTIC / Wally Walking Pending

So about five weeks from course to plastic in hand. That seems pretty quick.
I'm very happy to live in a state that doesn't get in the way (too much) of my 2A rights.

Now to see about my lovely wife obtaining a license. . . .

Plastic 8/19/2010!!!!!

Status still says Manufacturing pending, so all you guys with who seem to be stuck at that stage, don't lose hope! Keep on making the dangerous unarmed trek to the mailbox each day, heart in your throat, hoping for the glimmer of a Texas State Licensing envelope, like a small child braving the wilds of his parents' closet looking for Christmas gifts... Ahem, anyway.

plastic today, 8/19/2010 too. my status online still says Manufacturing Pending as well.

Celebrated by going to the gun range with a few buddies of mine, then a wally walk and dinner at Steak and Shake.
