Was out of town all week and was hoping to be surprised when I returned......No such luck. I still think the local county sheriff's office is holding mine up. It appears that others that are in the same time frame as me, have received their permits already. I guess I'll have to be patient and let the government machine do it's thang..........

Mailed 5/11/2010. Plastic in hand June 17. Not bad, 37 days but other than traffic tickets I'm pretty much squeaky clean and used to hold Secret/SAR security clearance so the FBI boys had done this before for me.

So my wife completed the missing ZIP code on her application and sent it back in. It took about a week or so for the status to update again and now all that is left unchecked is the background check.

I'm not sure if that is just the DPS background check, or if we still have to wait on the FBI check as well. The fingerprints were marked as complete a while ago. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but hopefully she'll get her license in a couple of weeks.

Congrats on the quick turn around time. You just reminded me. I haven't done my wally walk yet. I've had my license for a little while now but I just avoid Wal-mart like the plague.

I sent in my package on May 24th & USPS said it was delivered May 27th.

Got my plastic yesterday & did the Wally Walk this afternoon.

My paperwork was received on May 31st (applied online). So I guess I am also a May application. My status changed to Mailed this morning - I am hoping to receive it tomorrow or Friday.

There's nothing to tell, really.

Sig P239 in a Galco IWB holster. I got a cart & went all over the store picking up the things I needed.

I didn't have reason to reach a top shelf, but I had to bend down plenty of times. I did notice that my T-shirt had a habit of getting pinched between me & the gun's grip when I stood back up. I just got in the habit of giving the shirt's hem a little tug to pull it free.

It really was a non-event. I was always aware of the gun, but it felt as natural as could be.

Well that was quick. One day later it is being manufactured.

I'm techanically a May app, but DPS didn't get my packet until about June 1st. Still waiting on background check.
