Pocket holster for my LCP

#1

Post by FL450 »

Now that I have the LCP, any recommendations for a pocket holster out there? I need one for rear pocket when wearing jeans and one for front pocket when wearing slacks.

you can get an uncle mikes size 3 from academy for about $12. I use those for my TCP and my P238.

Is that a rear or front pocket?

FL450, I have two of these holsters, one for a Keltec P3AT/LCP, and the other for J-frame revolvers. They work really well, and they're very reasonably priced. And, you can wear it in either front or rear, depending on your pocket size. I do it both ways, but I probably use my front pocket more frequently.

Here is a good holster for your back pocket:

I use the holster in picture for front pocket carry (LCP w/CT). Works very well - but there will be times when a full-cover pocket holster will be necessary to prevent printing - with some clothing. This holster is, however, the lightest & most comfortable of the 3 that I have!

I use the holster from pocketholsters.com quite often as well - full square print to hide outline of LCP.

Finally, I use the Blackhawk Size 3 at times for an option between holster pictures and leather pocketholsters.com holster.

Is that Desantis thinner than the little Blackhawk? Anyone have personal experience?

I feel like the Blackhawk gives my pocket this giant bulge when I'm wearing shorts.. probably not noticeable, but it's annoying. The material feels like dense foam rubber.

Actually this holster is good for front pocket use too. Either with or without the easily removable anti-print panel.

Also take a look at Mika's pocket holsters. I have one of his I found on eBay for a snub nose revolver and love it. His pocket holsters have the best inner lining of any I've tried. Gun NEVER sticks to inside. DeSantis is a close second, but the outer material of DeSantis is much softer which leads to easier printing. Mika's has a semi-stiff outer leather layer that really hids the gun shape well.

Just ordered a Mika for my LCP and another for a baby Glock. Will post reviews of each when I receive them and use them for a while.
