Based on what my wife told me the other day i see less and less of a reason to go to the USPS location. She was mailing our nephew's birthday gift and went to the post office. Line out to the door. Was going to buy a box from the little display and then realized she didn't have any tape and didn't want to spend $4+ on a little role. So she decided to go over to a pack and mail type place. No one in line, the lady measured the presents, found the box for my wife and wrapped it all up. It was sent USPS...grand total was cheaper than the post office with the postage and the box she was going to buy there.

Not sure if it is posted 30.06 since my wife is not licensed, but I would bet not. So maybe we should all support our local businesses, rather than wait for the Government Bureaucracy that is the USPS.

Oh, and the reason for the long line...it appeared to my wife that all 3 postal employees were issuing Passports to individuals at the counter...when did they start doing that? When I got mine I was escorted to a room in the back that they have setup for it, and they only do them during certain times...

I'm a cheapskate. I recycle old boxes to use for mailing things. And I use the automated postal machines (or better yet, if someone is paying via Pay Pal can weigh the package on my handy-dandy $10 kitchen scale and print postage via Pay Pal right from my computer). So an actual PO is my only choice because the little mailboxes retail stores will not accept such packages most of the time, unless it meets their criteria - for instance the closest such place to me will ONLY send parcels via the more expensive forms of shipment, overnight, 2 day, priority. with almost anything shipped within Texas, basic inexpensive first-class mail gets there as fast or faster than priority usually for half the price. But the local mail box stores don't accept first-class shipments usually (no margin in it for them).

:thumbs2: Hope ya like it!

Part of my reason for not liking it... I couldn't figure out how it worked... I mean, I thought I put it on right.. but it never 'felt' right, at least to me. Hopefully you'll have better luck :thumbs2:

I think this is par for the course for those of us that wheel and deal through online forums/craigslist/flea bay etc. I have a pile myself.

Hehe I can relate. The words "I was saving that just in case" are not well received here.

You too?

I have cabinets FULL of old boxes in my garage. I'm very much so a 'just in case' or 'we might need it later' kind of guy.
She's not too keen on it XD

I'd like the fobus holster for the sig p220.

I'll pay foward about 20-30 rounds of winchester 5.56 and 20 rounds of monarch .223 fmj but it has to be picked up in DFW if that works with the rules. If not I'll look through the gun closet.

Also have about 50 rounds of once fired .270 brass I'd be glad to ship anywhere.

Was it fired from a bolt action rifle?
