I would definitely miss antibiotics. One of my relatives (great-great-great-uncle) died after the Battle of San Jacinto in the Texas Revolution. He wasn't killed by a Mexican musket ball...he was killed by dysentery. He had come to Texas in early 1836 and joined the revolution, and the rest of his family made the trip to Texas in 1842.
