WTS: Beretta 92FS Brigadier - SOLD

#1

Post by dklag37 »

For sale: Beretta 92FS Brigadier with original case (no manual), 2-10 round magazines, 1-15 round magazine, and HKS Magazine loader. Included with the gun is a Bianchi snaplock #84 leather OWB holster. This gun is in great condition and has been maintained and cleaned after every range session. This gun shoots great. I bought this gun brand new and am the original owner. I have put approximately 1,000 rounds through this gun. I am selling it for $450.00 cash. I prefer to deal with CHL holders. Please let me know if you have any questions.

SOLD! Thanks for looking.

What year did you buy the pistol?

Does it feed HP as well as FMJ?

Biggest question, why are you selling it?

I bought this gun in 2003 or 2004...can't remember exactly.

I've never fed it HP but I don't see why it wouldn't be able to. As far as FMJ, it feeds just fine. I have never had any failures whatsoever.

I'm selling this gun because I am looking into buying a new Glock 19. I am currently carrying a Walther PPS and have become very comfortable with this gun. Since the PPS weapon system is identical to the Glock, there wouldn't be any additional training needed to be done if I wanted or needed to switch guns.

Other than capacity I see no reason to switch to a Glock if you are happy with the PPS. I think the PPS would conceal better than any compact Glock in my opinion. I have both.

I didn't say I was going to switch to a glock for carry, but I would like to have a glock should my pps ever become inoperable. And, I just want one. :fire :cheers2:

LOL...I made a similar statement a few weeks ago, before I bought my Kimber. I posted on this forum, asking for advice, and I also talked to a couple of my fellow firearm-enthusiast friends. One buddy in particular, kept bringing up the shortcomings of the 1911 in general for concealed carry (too big, too heavy, etc.). I finally got tired of arguing with him and said, "I want one because I want one!" :smilelol5:

I understand where you are coming from.... ;-)

How different is this from the 92FS?

I think it just has a slightly beefed up slide and removable sights. I'm not entirely sure but I'm pretty certain that's two things.

It also looks like it has Houge type grips where a 92FS has plain black plastic grips.

I put around 800 rounds through my 92FS and it was flawless no matter what I put through it.

That is correct. The Brigadier models are fitted with a heavier slide that is stronger in the locking lug area, this reduces muzzle rise and speeds up follow up shoots. Except for the slide being heavier by about 60 g and 1 mm wider and having a removable front sight, the Beretta 92FS Brigadier is identical to the Beretta 92FS in its function.

I'd pay you cash for it this afternoon but being in Houston has ruined this one for me. :cryin

Nice gun for sure.
