Where is gun while you drive ?

Thought I would start a discussion of where you guys think the best place to keep your gun at while driving is and show you how I do it.

I keep mine holstered on me. I'm a lefty and I carry in the appendix position(10 o'clock) in a Don Hume IWB holster. The seat belt is below my waistline, so drawing is no problem.

Ya I am a righty i have a crossbreed supertuck with H&K 45c or P30L (depends how I feel that day), right above my wallet so drawing from the car is not that fast

Not knocking the idea, but my personal fear is of getting jacked and separated from the gun. If it is attached to my person and I get forced out of the car before I can deploy it, I at least still have it with me. But that's just me...

As TAM said, not a fan of off-body carry in vehicle. The one I typically carry (concealed) that way is a 12 gauge.

I am totally against off body carry this is a BACK UP. I am right handed as most of the world is and to make it worse I carry at 4 oclock with a in the pants so drawing from the car is much slower than my secondary Glock 26

One on me and a second tucked (securely) between the seats covered with a rag that matches the interior color.

Straped to the front underside of drivers` seat in a holster, quick access and concealed

Carry gun stays holstered IWB. Car gun is accessible but not easily visible.

The same place it is when I get out of the car. In a holster on my side. If I am traveling on the road I take it out and put it in the console where it can be retrieved quickly if needed. I am not one to leave a hand gun in the car if I am not in it. I guess I am worried about a thief getting lucky and choosing my truck to break in to.

Kahr or Sp101 IWB 4:00 with shirt tail pulled behind the weapon to speed access. Taurus PT140 SOB not near as quick to deploy but if the wife is in the car her SP101 2" is quickly deployed from the purse, as it is unzipped, and between her legs.

This is a major consideration I took when I selected my carry holster.

I carry my Hi-Power OWB in a Galco Combat Master. It is a high-riding canted holster, and it is accessible while driving, even in cars with a high center console. As others have said, I'd rather carry on-body, so I made sure that my gun is accessible at all times.

Nice setup. I am thinking about doing that myself (as a backup), I just need to find a place to put it. It won't fit right there in my car.
