Hello everyone,

Here is something that might be new, at least I haven't seen any posts about it. After receiving my PIN I logged in to check my status and it said "No application or license/certificate active :confused5 . I checked with my brother (we took the class together) and his status was showing Processing. After a couple days with no change in the status I sent the an email to the DPS to find out the status of my application. I sent the email on 2/17 and received a reply a few hours later stating that my license had been issued on 2/16 :hurry: and to allow time for delivery. :totap: This is my first post on this forum, but I'm sure I will be around as it looks like a lot of good info on here.

Hi causeican, welcome to the forum! Glad to have you with us.

When you checked online, you probably checked the Instructor's application half of the page. It's at the bottom. The place where new CHL's to check is up at the top.

In any event super congrats! :thumbs2:

I have been busy with work and out of town so I did not have time to check my status. Just checked and "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active". Last time I checked was 02/15/2010 so it could have updated to this the last three days. I am still out of town so I won't know if the plastic is at the house until Sunday.

Texas_Tactical,
I am off of the loop and Page Rd on the east side of town.

Plastic with my name on it finally showed up today :)

Took about a week and a half after receiving someone elses license to get it corrected and get a duplicate sent to me. Camping at a state park tonight, sounds like a good place to try it. Wally world tomorrow.

nairb - CONGRATS - even with the mishap, you're done in 31 days !!!

southendxgf and dbrune83 - you're updated and both through the "complete" stage...

here are the stats:

PS for those noticing that i'm in the "rear with the gear" above, did speak to DPS this week and learned that my application had been placed with a technician since 2/4 - have no idea the hold up but that explains why mine isn't tracking with the pack - Rene M. told me that after whatever needs double checking, they have to request info from an employer, for example and wait on that to come back, it'll be complete - hopefully with two weeks in the "penalty box" already, it won't be much longer - there's no criminal activity in my history, that i know for sure...
