My wife and I have been carrying under Castle Statutes for a while.. We just want the peace in knowing we're legal to have them outside the vehicle and other places...
If you find your self in a fair fight, your tactics obviously suck.

I've been keeping an eye on this thread. It really seems as processing times are much shorter than when this thread started. I hope that DPS can stay on top of this.

I haven't gone back to look through the many pages of this thread, but I'll bet that
the current processing is the shortest it's ever been...20ish days right now.

:iagree: It looks like those 6 additional people they hired back in August, plus changing the policy to permit non-uniformed officers to conduct background checks really paid off for them in dropping the processing times.

Thank you DPS! :thumbs2:

As one who was just processed in 26 days from mailing application to recieving my CHL - DSP is 'smoking fast' !
After reading about the 3 to 4 month waits last summer and fall, it was a nice surprise.
Again, thanks for the advise of many people on this Forum.

After my CHL instructor told me that the average wait time was 60-80 days, I'm very happy that I received my license in only 34 days. Keep up the good work DPS!!! :tiphat:
