If you could only have one gun...

And to add difficulty, it can't be a 1911. Bonus points for mil-surp. Thoughts? I need a new weapon. Thinking about a romanian PSL this month to add to collection, but just brain storming.

Well, I truly believe the most utilitarian weapon you can own is a 12-gauge pump shotgun with a 24-inch barrel with interchangeable choke tubes. Good for everything but CHL .... home defense, bird hunting, squirrel/rabbit hunting, hunting larger game at relatively short distances with slugs or buckshot, varmint control, truck gun etc.

If you said 2 guns I'd pick a 12 gauge pump and a Glock, probably mid-size either .40 or 9mm

Give me three guns and I'll put in a scoped rifle of some kind.

Dang it, you had to add the 1911 part. I'm trying to save up for a Springfield 1911. But to stay within the guidelines of the thread, I would say an XD40 or a Glock. I shot my friends Glocks a few weeks ago and kept a pettern of 3" in 10 shots, had never shot it before.

If there are not type restrictions I'd take a carbine. Probably an AR platform in 5.56. An Acog with with some sort of reflex sight (T1 micro?) mounted at an offset. Also a healthy supply of ammo. Add a light and a good sling and a plate/ammo.

Since this is a CHL forum, I assume you mean one gun for carry/PP.

And since you eliminated any 1911, that only leaves me one choice (that I already have)............drum roll.........

Browning Hi-Power. :coolgleamA: :txflag:

OH........and I should get the bonus points for that choice as well! :thumbs2:

If I was going to get rid of my 1911's (no way) I would probably get another 92FS.
