It's Coming. Hopefully we'll break ground in September. And hopefully we'll have the Grand Opening in January.

My website is up to track it's progress.

Looking forward to it.

Have you put a notice on the CCIDPA site?

Any update on this place? I work right across from where they say they are going to break ground and have not seen anything but the grass grow?

I checked the website and no updates either.

It would be great to have somewhere to go shoot at lunch!

I have been in contact with the developers off and on, but have not heard anything in awhile. (Mainly my fault. Been concentrationg on a few other things lately.) I will see what I can find out this coming week and report back.

Here is the email reply I got from Mark this morning:

Hi,

We are still on track to be moving dirt in a few days. We are still waiting for TXDOT to get us the formal letter approving the drainage easement work. Once they do that, we can pick up the building permit and start work.

Hope to have the equipment coming in the next week or so and get things rolling. We are staging a sit in at TXDOT today untill they give us our stuff.

llwatson thanks for the update. When I left work last night I still see an emtpy field so I am guessing either they ran into issues and are delayed in building. i emailed the owners yesterday but have not heard back yet.

Hopefully they will be able to break ground before the new year.

Latest Update as of 11/12/06:
As most of you know, we have finished all approvals and hearings with the City of Roanoke. We have been waiting on TXDOT to provide final approval of the drainage channel improvements we have submitted. We received an e-mail from the engineer overseeing this last Friday stating it was approved and awaiting her bosses signature. We will be pushing that issue hard first thing tomorrow morning, and hope to have our building permit in hand by the end of tomorrow. If we are successful with that, we should have the site work underway this week.

The latest construction schedule based on the late November starting date would have us opening in May of 2007. Good weather could shorten that up some, but be prepared for weather related delays as the project progresses.

I for one welcome a NFA friendly range, I just have a SBR(semi auto only) and cannot use it at Quail Creek.
As I live in Haslet This new facility will be in a great location.
Any idea on the policy of FMJ rifle ammunition use ?(my CMP M1 Garand & others, are gathering dust because of all the NO FMJ use policies locally)

Intrested in submitting a Resume When things get to that point in construction.

I passed by there yesterday, and there are obvious signs of activity! Bulldozers, earthmovers, and such. So, looks like they are finally underway!

first I've heard of this, man, their website boasts a veeeeery nice facility.
I, for one, can not wait to go there. I like the indoor thing pretty well, 'specially with some good ventillation!
