Supposedly a letter has been sent explaining that they need more info on a disposition. That is all the girl could tell me. So now I am waiting on the letter to find out what they are wanting.
Did you send in documentation from the court regarding the disposition with your packet? If not that's probably what they want and you could proceed with obtaining it now to save some time.

The problem is that I am not sure what they are asking about. The only case was a PI while I was in college back in 1991. I contacted the court and they said they have no records back that far. So I am not sure what to do. I guess I will wait until I get the letter and see what it says.

If you were arrested for the PI and fingerprinted, you'll need to get a certified document from the court that says they have no records of the incident. I had them give me a certified records search from the year before the incident to the current date. It just said "No records found." That was good enough for DPS as long as it isn't something that would disqualify you even if there were records.

Thanks for the info. I contacted the Court and they knew immediately what I needed. So I faxed the request to them. Hopefully the required letter will be here later this week. Talked to the wife earlier and she said the letter from DPS explaining what I needed to provide still has not arrived. So we will see.

Hopefully it'll only take an extra few days to sort out. Waiting on that letter must be tough!

Yeah, I am just hoping the letter I requested from the Court is the one that is needed. I still have not received the letter from DPS explaining what is needed.

Waiting on my plastic now! The only issue was I sent in a copy of my separation to the retired reserves in my package but they wanted a copy of a DD 214 of my discharge. I replied with a letter and a copy of my retire ID card, apparently it sufficed for their documentation.

I am still waiting on the mail for my plastic. I have to agree this is the worst wait of them all.

It truly is... I found myself looking at the clock every 20 to 30 minutes at work waiting to get off so I could get home to check my mailbox. Even though this is the worst feeling. It's the best feeling when you get that letter in the mail and you can feel the plastic inside the envelope.

Check your mailbox - my plastic arrived about 30 minutes ago.

Very quick processing, IMHO

 Yep, I'll WallyWalk as soon as I get my new carry piece. I have a full-size Beretta PX-4 Storm (9mm) that I keep by the bed, and I just put my 96FS (.40) Vertec on consignment at the local gunshop.

I most likely will pick up a SA XD9c. Trying to find someone who has one in stock with night sights, and then have to get a Comp-Tac Minotaur for it.

So I called DPS again this morning since I still have not received the letter from them. The guy I talked to said that the system showed that everything had been completed on the 25th and that my plastic should be here in a few weeks. So we will see. The site still says 'Processing Application', so I am not going to get my hopes up until it changes.
