That's about three weeks from delivering application to being licensed. If they get the card to me in a week it'll be under 1 month. :)
Just realized I had not posted.... only took 1 day to receive the card in the mail (probably because I live in Austin).

Well it's Wednesday 1/20 and the mailbox didn't contain anything but bills...got a fortune cookie today that said "a long awaited event will arive soon". First time I really hoped one of those things would come true.

So my online status still says "Processing Application." Realizing that it's only been 30 days since I mailed in the paperwork, I decided that my lack of patience was getting the best of me - so I phoned Austin to "see if I could provided any additional information..."

The very professional and helpful womann on the phone informed me that my application was COMPLETED and my CHL was issued today. I figure another week before it's printed and received.

That's pretty quick, IMHO!

Nice to hear they were nice. I understand they have to send it to a printer then it has to be verified before they send it to you.

Application complete in less than a month!!! Even better considering the Christmas and New Years Holiday's. Now my time can be spent watching for postman to make the drop instead of checking the Crime Records Service website. I hope those of you still in the "Processing Application" holding pattern have similar success.

12/22/09 CHL Class Completed
12/23/09 Application Mailed to Austin
12/31/09 Check to DPS Cleared Bank
01/04/10 Pin Received Status: Processing/Application
01/20/10 APPLICATION COMPLETE
01/25/10 Plastic Received

Checking this morning, it was exactly as the DPS rep told me...

Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

I think I'll go shopping today for a new carry piece.

Well it looks like they approved me as well today :anamatedbanana

I logged in this morning to Application Completed - license issued or certificate active.

Now I have to wait on the mail.

I also noticed Grumble lives in Allen perhaps we had a Collin county batch go through yesterday.

I was born outside the country and had a out of state background check so all in all not too bad.

Looks like mine is going to take a while longer. I got excited by all of y'alls recent approvals so I gave them a call. Supposedly a letter has been sent explaining that they need more info on a disposition. That is all the girl could tell me. So now I am waiting on the letter to find out what they are wanting.

Ugh! Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it will be something that can be cleared up quickly. :txflag:
