Don't let yourself get caught up losing money to be a good guy, you've got to make ends meet. A reasonable price and an excellent environment will be all you need to get loyal customers.
Yea, Seriously, this area is quite lacking in Ranges offering what we Really desire. If you did make this a reality, I'd probably get a membership as well, and be there weekly :thumbs2:

On the west side of FM1774 south of Magnolia there is a big steel building for sale. Every time I drive by I think, 'gee that would be a goood place to put a pistol range!' It's not far from the Montgomery County Sheriff's office. You might stop by there and ask them where they shoot now and if they would be interested in using your facility.
Two more potential customers here!
If you have not been to Champion Firearms range in College Station please go take a look! A place with that kind of climate control and computer run targets and fees would be great. That's where we go to shoot now.

Thanks for the info on the building. Wanted something a little closer to Tomball, but then again that would be closer to the house. Just dread the thought of 1488 traffic every day! Im looking at a few places off 2978 about half way between Tomball and 1488, on two on 249 just north of Tomball.

Brad-

If you don't already own property in Tomball, you might better check in with the city about their restrictions on different business types. They are pretty nasty in Tomball about what you can do with your own property in the city and I am sure that a firing range would really set them off.

Probably would need to locate outside of the city.

Do Marksman allow 'rapid fire'? :headscratch

I ask because a couple of times I have been there some people were blowing off rounds like crazy (not very effectively either IMHO). For sure they were popping them out at a rate greater than one per second.

I know the range nearest to us (Clear Lake) doesn't like shooters to shoot more than 1 per second, that is just another reason why we don't go there anymore.

I have a theory that a lot of ranges will judge what you can and can't do based on how you conducted yourself on prior visits. You may think they aren't watching you but I think they do take note....unless that is just my paranoia getting the better of me again! "rlol"

If Tomball restrictions are a problem, Montgomery county might prove to be a little more accommodating. I live in the area and would be interested in a membership and give you my business. Good luck with your endeavor.

Possible location between Waller and Tomball

There is a building located on the corner of 2920 and Kickapoo Rd that has been for sale for over a year. The guy that owns it sold me a building in 2008 for almost half what he was originally asking. I don't know the price, but I don't expect it to be out of the question.

We have been thinking about this for a few years and have decided to finally pull the trigger. And advise or suggestions would be a great help.

So, BradA. Here we are July of 2010. What has happened in the past 9 months with the indoor shooting range? Decided on a location? Already open? Where? Hours?

I'd like to know also. :bigear:

How ever, since BradA has not visited this forum since Feb 12, 2010, we may never know. :cryin
