My DH and I had an AWESOME time yesterday! Mostly important to me, he enjoyed the day and didn't grumble one bit about his wife dragging him along. He now wants to know how he can get on the forum! This could get interesting for me..... :eek6

In my need to make sure he was having a good time, I failed to meet up with too many forum members and say a polite "howdy". For that I apologize....but there is always April! :anamatedbanana

Thanks to all who worked so hard to put this event together. You couldn't have ordered up better weather, slate of classes/instructors, and general bunch of good people and camaraderie. THANKS A MILLION!!!

Oh yea....thanks USA1 for being kind to my hubby re: the pink shotgun case and pink earplugs. :thumbs2:

I am no legend. Just a bald headed old man who loves Jesus, the Constitution, & 1911s. :thumbs2:
I will look forward to meeting you too.

Wow! What an experience!

Thanks to everyone that had a hand in this!

I agree that screen names would have been helpful. I would have loved to have been able to meet more folks. I hope to meet a lot more of you next year. I was able to spend about 30 minutes with J.P. Guidry between classes and he was a phenomenal resource and a heck of a guy just to spend time talking too. I was not shocked to find out he was in sales  .

You could really tell that EVERYONE loved what they were doing. It was an honor to be a part of this.

What a great day. It was nice to put some screen names to faces and chat in person. I enjoyed talking to everyone at the event.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who worked this event.

Well, a big howdy or re-howdy to everybody on the forum, whether I met you at Friendswood,
or just through the board online.

We live in a big state, so geography can be a hindrance to many who are on the board,
but let me just say that you will never have more fun at a shooting event than to go to
the Friendswood PSC (near Houston). So if there's any possibility for you to make the next
event - DO it!!

My unscientific survey of who drove the farthest to attend the event included kfp (McKinney),
Mr and Mrs fosforos (sp?) from Terrell, and myself (Lewisville). Anyone who drove farther is
asked to correct the record. By the way mrsfosforos was quite the girly gunslinger with the
pink grips on her SW M&P!

I wanted to meet Jim Longley - I missed him because he didn't wear his top hat like in his picture!

Liberty turned out to be my neighbor while we both lived in Massachusetts.

USA1 broke my dirty gun but eventually got it back together!! Lesson learned was that a PT111
is MOSTLY like a PT145!! Kudos to USA1 for supplying "last minute Charlie" (me) with the data
I needed to get to the event.

It seemed like the majority of guns were either Glocks or XD's. The range officer at Texas Stars
was the only person I noticed with a revolver.

Don't give me too much credit, I opted to fly Southwest. I've already checked prices for April and they look just as good.

Crossfire had a drive from the Roanoke area.
