I got punkd by the TXDPS
My application was received on 9/5/09. 3 weeks later I got my passport photo back in the mail, forgot to sign it..... I emailed them 2 days ago to make sure everything looked good and I got a response this morning that said "license issued, mailed on 10-6, please give it time to be delivered." So i rushed home to check the mail.....there was an envelope from the DPS...I opened it....just my pin number!!! I was so disappointed. So I login and check my status and it says "license issued". I called to confirm and they said it was mailed on the 10-6 and to give it 7-10 days.
I have been lurking on the site for awhile...it is a great resource and seems to be filled with some really great people. Thanks to everyone for all of the helpful information and tips! Looking forward to joining the club!

Well, today turned out to be a good day. Got my license in the mail along with my check for serving on a jury last week and putting a criminal away! Sounds like new concealed gun money to me....!!!
Thanks for all of the welcomes! It is nice to know that there are still some good people out there!

Inquiring minds must know: Where can you find a new concealed gun for $12? :-)

Re: I got punkd by the TXDPS
I was at the Kemah Walmart today and boutght a white Win box of .380 FMJ (100ct) for $33. They had a couple of boxes more on the shelf. I mention this because I have heard a few others mention no .380 ammo. Maybe they meant good JHP type ammo??
Anyway - I am new to this site. I paid the DPS on April 1st/2009 for my 3rd renewal of my CHL. After long delays and two
fingerprint rejections I finally saw that on Thursday Oct 15th, the DPS site says my license was issued. Still waiting at the mailbox so after I was way disappointed yesterday it MUST be here today... Stay tuned
