Hey!...Anybody left in here!!
Who's in charge of the welcoming committee?!
This place feels a little neglected! Guess we will have to liven it up a little!

Re: 100+ Club
Yeah it will! Just annoying to try and deal with and out wait the "bureaucracy" and wonder what in the **** are they doing?
You know, the way I look at it, for the last 54 years I haven't had a CHL and if they tell me that I can't have it, then it will not change my life one bit.

Lost in Austin...last week I was right where you are....just about to the point I just really did not care one way or the other as the "process" had really soured me on the entire idea of CHL.
Application Processing is burned into my screen here....so just out of the blue I sent an email couple of days ago and they came right back and said it (my CHL) has been printed and should be in my hands in 1-2 weeks.
Now the DPS website still says Application Processing as of this morning....so dont give up yet....send them a email....

LIA
Hopefully it will be a short stay in here. I emailed the new head of the dps and carboned the regular DPS address and I requested a hearing quoting all the relevant statutes. Within a couple of weeks of that I had plastic. It may have been coincidence but.....
Hang on in there.

LIA,SARGE
I sent them an e-mail monday morning also. They replyed back real quick and said The license is being printed. You should receive it within 7-10 days.
So I guess you can take that with a grain of salt. I'm almost to the point of who cares it will be here when it gets here.

Not sure what happened in Austin but somebody must have put foot to butt up there....My screen changed today to App complete...certificate issued ......glad to hear your done also.....I was not unlike you...I just sorta lost interest myself....I shoot almost daily (9000 acres here)...AK's M16 M4 etc. and Glock in every caliber....so I "plink" and carry in the truck...but am glad this ordeal is over and I will have my CHL any day....well....glad your ordeal is over and good luck out there....G23 wrote:LIA,SARGE

Re: 100+ Club
Hey all! Got a call from the DPS today
The jist of the conversation went as follows:
We got your complaint and are looking into it. I will be the person trying to find out what has happened. There is a break down when the reprints come back and they are not making it to the file. (no ----! ) I have not yet investigated but I will let you know what I find out. OK....here is my phone number call me when you find my prints/bg check I guess?!?!?
Anyway, several times during the conversation she was apologetic and saying that they received my complaint and she was working on resolving it.
Don't know if this is good news or if anything will come of it. What I suspect is that all the times that I have called and Inquired about my application, I was told that the information had not come back yet....the standard line, right! All of the time I think it was there and still is there, they just don't know where.
I can't say what has prompted them to assign a troubleshooter, if you will, to finding my FP/BG or even the entire app. Don't know if it was all the phone calls, the call to my State Senator, or the call to Rick Perry. I suspect the latter!
We will see how far this goes towards getting this little task finished.

Re: 100+ Club
I hear ya. I did too, then the gloves came off.
I got mine fairly quickly in fact it went from "Processing application" to plastic in hand in just 2 days....Saturday it went to Complete, Monday the plastic arrived.
Maybe yours will go that quickly too? I hope so for ya.
