When I checked online one day my status changed from "processing" to "no application" or something to that effect. Of course I freaked out and emailed them. I got a reply a couple of days later saying that it (the license) had been mailed. I think they should add something like "processing complete" or "license mailed" or something to that order.

Thanks!

I received my TX CHL today. I waited 43 days, I figure thats not to bad for a huge state. I think I waited around 60 for my FL non resident CHL. I would like to see us get to NH standards though I received my NH CHL in only 9 days.

Was that for first time or renewal?

63 days from returning the corrected application. On my original application, I wrote 2001 instead of 2002 on the date I'd lived in an apartment in Lubbock while going to school. It looked like I had lived there negative months! Dumb mistake on my part. I looked before I sent it in, and I had the date filled in, just not the right one. I can't complain much. When I called at 60 days, they said it would be 2 more weeks due to a computer system upgrade. I wasn't expecting it for awhile still.

Renewal.

Received CHL 47 days after I mailed the packet.

(That also included some processing delay due to a new requirement that you apparently must prove citizenship to receive a CHL if you were born outside the country.)
Do you know about the TEXAS State Rifle Association?

Sent 5/16/06, PINs sent 6/12/06, web confirmation 8/02/06, licenses in on 8/04/06. Exact same dates for both me & DSW.
I haven't counted exact days, but it's roughly 80 from mailbox to mailbox.
Paid with USPS money order, no problems with paperwork or background checks.

Enjoy!

I mailed my packet to Austin on June 5th, and when we got home today from vacation, the envelope was in the mailbox! Great welcome home surprise!

I don't recall, was this an initial license or renewal?
