Am I printing badly? Also, weak side vs strong side for BUG
Hi, just got my CHL in the mailand have a few questions. I'm carrying a S&W M&P .40 (16 rounds) in a comp-tac MTAC IWB holster as my main handugn, and a S&W M&P 340 .357 magnum revolver as my backup (5 rounds). I carry the revolver in a Desantis Superly Pocket holster. I know i'm printing a little, but would like opinions if you think this is passable or not:
No fashion comments :) and, if you're averse to seeing a fat white dude, then look away now.
Any comments or suggestions welcome. I'm also wondering if I should switch my BUG to my strong side, or should I keep it on the left in case my right arm is unusable for any reason. I know I'm probably over thinking things, but I figure if I'm going to carry, I oughta do it right.

In my opinion you are not printing at all. You're good to go as is. You know you are carrying, so you are very conscious of every bulge or protrusion. No one else will even notice, and most won't even care to look. Besides, people carry so many items on their belts these days, anyone who may notice your shirt hanging out a little more on one side will think it's a cell phone.
Your concerns over printing will abate with time. Mine did. As long as it's covered, I don't give it a second thought.

Don't worry about printing. Nobody notices.
And yes, you're fine.

I couldn't really tell which side you were carrying on until looking at the second pic. Also I was looking at the wrong pockets, never even thought to look at the lower pockets. The only people out there that might be able to tell you are carrying are probably the ones out that are carrying too. You will get to where you worry less and less about printing. Just put it on, cover it up and leave it alone.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Put the BUG in a smartcarry and you are golden. Do not ride a motorcycle like this. You are fine. BG would never have clue what hits them or where it came from.

I agree; no printing issue...regarding weak or strong side for BUG; I carry the same bug in my weak side pocket; seems to help balance the load and doesn't interfere with strong side...just my opinion.

with everyone as well, you are good to go.
When Im not at work I dress in the same manner as you are in the pic. When I first started carrying I was paranoid that someone was going "make" me because I could just feel the huge buldge protruding from my right side. It took me about 6 months to stop worrying about it.
Today as I was standing in line at Burger King to get some lunch I had 2 of Southlake's finest sitting at the table directly behind me and I didnt give it a second though, however a year ago the same situation would have resulted in a major heart attack from the panic I would have been feeling.
The best advice I can offer was something I read on here to the effect of "When you get out of the car adjust it once and dont touch it again, just forget its there."

Wow, I was looking in all the wrong places/pockets. I couldn't see your gun at all. But don't worry, I too am a CHL noob and am still worried about printing, as this was the end of day two for me. I have made it through target, the bank, pearl vision, the convenience store and HEB twice, once with a pocketed j frame smith and once with my Taurus 709 slim in an IWB homemade holster.
Anyway, good job concealing, especially with such a large weapon.

Fat white dude? where? I don't see a fat white dude.....LoneStarWings wrote:No fashion comments :) and, if you're averse to seeing a fat white dude, then look away now.
Didn't see the printing, either... the one in the waistband would print a bit if you bent over, but it's still more than passable.

You'll never be noticed carrying like that. Unless you continue to gain weight like you have for your age. Start walking now to avoid the problem later. That's all you gotta do, is walk about two miles three-four days a week. Just one fat white dude to another.
