August 2009 Applications

I've been lurking around for a little while, but decided to come on out and wait with some company.

Plus, to paraphrase an old commercial, I've got questions, you've got answers. This forum is a great resource, and I know I thoroughly enjoy visiting and learning.

Welcome to the August group, it looks like a good group. I guess this is like a support group or having somebody sitting with you while you’re waiting to have a baby.

Wow, that's better than the 4 to 6 weeks the state said it would take.

Just found out today that my dad's pin came today...his app was mailed one week after mine...not a bad turnaround time!!

Wife and I mailed ours on August 12th - got the PINs today after requesting via email, and the status for both is "PROCESSING APPLICATION".

Greetings Everyone,

I have been lurking around for a couple of weeks now. I have been reading some threads about how the DPS might be getting things turned around down in Austin.

I thought I would conduct my own little experiment. I have not received a pin # yet, so I sent an email this morning requesting one. Lets just see how long it takes for a reply to my request!

This is a great place to hang out and wait and learn a few things along the way.

Eeepp! Well! I hope you got an eyefull! I'm just biding my time till I get the good news. Phew, it's not easy being patient. Every time I see somebody get approved or get the license I get the urge to check my status.

You'll be getting your pin soon, I hope.

It seems that the July group is zipping right through. I'm also surprised we have not seen a Sep. thread yet, Iam anxious to see a new rookie group!

I would like to give you guys (especially USA1) a big thank you. I wrote an email to request my PIN today like y'all told me to...and believe it or not they replied within 20 minutes with my PIN...
