It happened!!!

Less than 60 days!!

I can't officially be in this forum, but I'm trying to give you folks some hope that the DPS is getting the lead out (so to speak :biggrinjester: )

I only called them twice, I think, and that was shortly after I sent in my app because I never received a PIN and wanted to make sure it got there OK. I didn't send it registered/return receipt requested. I just sent it regular USPS.

It will happen for everyone!!! Its a good thing!!

Now just to sit by the mailbox (after I clean the house and hang a blind, per the Boss's request), and camp out patiently. Fortunately I have a long extension cord, a comfy chair, and an umbrella (just in case). Perhaps I'll call the Post Office and see if my mail carrier needs any help........

You know, if mine comes in the mail today (and I'm pretty sure it won't), I would only have 86+ days on you
It kind of makes me wish I would have waited until July to send in my application, I'd probably have my license by now (naw, knowing my luck it would be Christmas before I got it - you know, the official last person from July to get theirs). I know I'm getting close to the last person from April :grumble
Who knows, maybe one thing in this process will go well and my license will be in the mail today.

I am at 121! However, I am hoping the plastic arrives today! If I win the sticker, I will gladly donate it to science! Maybe they can dissect it and figure out what happened!! :willynilly:

I'll just set the sprinklers to run regularly, that'll take care of cleaning and drinking.......I can get to the fridge and freezer in the garage without losing sight of the mailbox and can cook on the grill......As a matter of fact, I'm sitting out here in the garage right now......Oops! I think I see the Boss out of the corner of my eye......This can't be good......... :nono:

A friend of mine had that had his status go to Application Completed on Wednesday didn't get his plastic yet...he is angry! ;) He lives in the DFW area. Seems odd that some people have plastic in a day or two after the status change and for others it is 5 or more.

I wish I had found this forum sooner!

Mine took exactly 190 days from the time DPS received my package to the the day USPS delivered to my mailbox.

I think my mailman was one of them! lol I am normally very happy if I go to the mailbox and have nothing in it! The less mail the less people want my money!! lol However, I was sure hoping to get my plastic on Sat. but it didn't show up! I will have to wait until Tues.!! :waiting:
