You lied. No dice. Not a stitch of mail for me. I guess they only mail them USPS? No fedex or anything?

Seriously though? How long does it take for it to travel from Austin to Houston? 5 days? Bull.

True, it does not take 5 days to go straight from Austin to Houston, BUT I bet they are sending it to Dallas, or Denver to be sorted & then back.
I'm still holding out hope that mine will be waiting for me when I get home this evening.

EDIT - Plastic arrived today!

carbon-14, don't get discouraged buddy. I have a feeling you'll have it really soon.

I'm beginning to believe when they say they've mailed it, actually they mean to say they've released it to the mail room FOR mailing. And it could sit in the mail room for a couple of days before it actually goes out.

Note: That's pure speculation on my part. But it is logical, and would fit a pattern.

You're really close to getting it.

Yep. Don't get discouraged. I live in a town just outside the northwest city limit of Austin and was one of the lucky recipients from this past weekend to have their application completed. I just checkwed my mailbox today and my plastic finally came! :woohoo I sort of thought it would be laminated but at least it isn't just a piece of paper (I fish and paddle a lot so it will likely get wet). I will be going to a high school football game tonight so I won't be carrying but you can bet I will be starting tomorrow! God bless y'all and hopefully this topic can be closed soon! :thewave
