Yes this is a good thing. By what we are hearing I suspect the second half of the year will produce more apps than the first half. At this rate in two years everyone will be armed.

Your post encouraged me to check once more time - and (like you) "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active". What took you so long to get OUR CHLs issued?
For me, I forgot to fill in 2 boxes on one fingerprint card, and 1 box on the other. I received the "letter" on june 26, which was exactly Day 60 from the receipt at DPS. Sep 2 is Day 64 (best guess) of second receipt of completed application.

My total time waiting for this status is 124 days

I GOT PLASTIC!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
:woohoo :woohoo :woohoo :woohoo :woohoo :woohoo
:thewave :thewave :thewave

EDIT:

Loading up to go to Wally World right now...

I'm running the Wally Walk, Super Covert Edition. Going with some friends who will have no idea I'm carrying :thumbs2:
Going to take a full size 1911 as well :thumbs2: Cover Garment: T-shirt and Cargo pants :thumbs2:
We'll see if THEY notice, let alone anyone in wal-mart :smilelol5:

If I can pull off a full size 1911, in wal-mart, with a group of friends next to me the entire time, and noone noticing, I'm pretty sure I'll have the confidence to not worry about it from now on :P

Nothing here - May and June were bad enough, but now July :grumble
Whew, this has been a pain. I hope it's over soon.

I hear Hurricane Aladinbama is due to hit next Wednesday - I hope delivered plastic is able to re-direct that storm :mad5
At least I still have part of a sense of humor :totap:

Generally a grand total of two days from Austin to Pearland. A lot of "stuff" has been mailed back and forth to Austin from here. Gee, wonder if I was exposed to more DPS talk (the tell him what he wants to hear method, but it's going to take us - DPS - another week!).
Dum-de-dum-de-dum, I'm here and waiting. And to think way back when I applied for it I was hoping it would be in hand by the first of July - boy was that wishful thinking or what?
