About 6 weeks ago a I emailed my State Rep and his office contacted DPS and expedited the completion of the application. At that point the application was in the background check process. It still took six weeks from the suppposed expediting, until I got the license. I am just glad I finally got it...but the performance of our gommint is an abomination!!!!

AARGH

So Mad at Fedex right now. :mad5 :mad5 :mad5 :mad5

So apparently, for the past 2 days, they've been attempting to deliver my CHL to ANOTHER HOUSE.... :mad5 :mad5 :mad5
Apparently the second time they figured it out... so they attempted to deliver here today... at 1:45pm :mad5

I asked the Fedex lady what the address on the package was, and she told me, and it was correct... so I asked her why they were attempting to deliver it somewhere else for 2 days?
She had no answer... :mad5 :mad5

Another problem. They sent it Adult Signature (21+) Required. Why? I don't know. They don't send drivers licenses that way, do they?
Everyone that works in this house works 7-4. They left a door tag that says they'll try to deliver <3pm tomorrow... also, noone will be home then.

So I called them, and said "I'll just pick it up"
"Oh, well, the driver isn't schedueled to arrive back at the facility until 8pm, and they close at 8pm..."
"I'll be there at 7:30.. and I'll wait."

Aargh...

OMG

I have that heart sinking feeling. On Monday a whole bunch of packages came for my sister. They were her books she order online. There was also a Fedex tag with no information on it besides a track number. I didn't think anything of it and gave it all to my sister. It just hit me that that was probably for me. She said she probably threw it away. Am I screwed now?

Gosh, I'd be digging through the trash looking for that tag they left.

There MUST be some way to get the tracking number. Have you called DPS and asked them for a tracking number? They are obviously keeping track of it since it requires a signature of an adult.

Just my thoughts.

Yep, I went through the trash even though I knew it wouldnt be in there because today was trash day. I called Fedex which gave me a number to fedex express. I told him my address and he told me there wasn't any packages sent to my house.

I do remember the card not having any info on it, or boxes check or anything but a tracking number. And they haven't tried to re-send anything yesterday or today. So MAYBE it was just a coincidence there was one on the door step?

By the time I called DPS they were already closed.

Did anyone received their CHL via USPS?

Kinetikz, don't panic - if there was a delivery for you they should have attempted today as well and left another slip - if not today, the second attempt may be tomorrow. Either way, they should have some record of it without a tracking number (meaning by street address) at the pick-up location.
Dicion, our UPS closes at 8:00 and the driver from the route that delivers to our neighborhood doesn't return until between 8:00 and 9:00 PM. Sometimes it's a long wait when I have to go pick up one of my new toys, but it's worth it - I have actually waited till after 10:30 PM to pick someting up before (it was 21+ signature only). "Travel" over there and you can do the Wally Walk on the way home :thumbs2:

I woulld like to know where mine is - I get phone calls and emails (last Monday and Tuesday) stating it would be a week for me to receive it, a week and 2 days later, still nothing - this is getting old. Also still waiting for my broken status page :smash: to change - I have a feeling that it will be another week or so - :cryin

Postal mail is their default delivery method unless you've been vocal with calling DPS or contacting elected officials.
