Same with a friend of mine. He got a call from DPS on Wednesday that his license went to print and he still shows Processing Application. He is convinced something is wrong! LOL

I thought someone here confirmed that is stays in Processing until it actually prints and is mailed, then it goes Completed.

Either way you're almost there now!

Well the wait is over. Whooo Hooo. I received mine in the mail today. 116 working days from the time i mailed it. 66 working days from time the packet was opened in Austin. Now those are working days. I did not count the weekends. I am way to happy for that.

Finally the final countdown has arrived. The message has finally changed from Processing Application to Application Completed - license issued or certificate active.

Now the true waiting begins...

3/7 Class taken
3/20 App Mailed
5/7 Pin Received
June 9 letter received stating subpar fingerprints
June 12 electronic fingerprints re-taken and mailed back to Austin
Aug 31 Status change from Processing App to Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

Thanks I hope so! That would give me an extra day to practice carrying with the Long Weekend.

BTW not sure if it matters but if anyone is wondering I am in Brazoria County and was born out of State.

Finally my status reads: "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"

I guess the DPS folks were not just pulling my chain or telling me what I wanted to hear. I am from Houston but lived and worked in Bell, Travis and Harris Counties for the past 13 years. App sent on 3/16 to DPS.

It's kinda like winning another chance to play again at some fast food "peel the stamp" game thing.

Anytime I've snail mailed something within the state of Texas it has arrived the next day or the day after that. Gawsh!! Whats taking so long?!

Finally switched to complete weeeeeeeeee!!!! It seems like they found a lost stack of March apps looking at all the peoples that switched status today.... I guess ours were in the stack holding up the 3 legged desk they just got a replacement for :)
