Kudos to Texas' CHL (there's a change)..and Texans alike...

#1

Post by Kapuna »

My middle son (19 years old) is home from Little Creek, VA on leave from the Navy Special Forces...
The local instructor did his CHL course, fingerprints, photos, and all paperwork at no charge...(thanks, Don)
I called the CHL folks in Austin and they confirmed his CHL license would also be at no charge with the proper military papers accompanying...

Then we wanted to do a little saltwater fishing while he was home...
We went to Academy for his license...A $68.00 Super Combo at no charge...

So here's a BIG thanks to Texans in general for supporting our military...
These young folks don't make a lot of money, but do a GREAT service for us all...
I couldn't be prouder... :patriot:

Your son deserves all that and more for serving the military of our great nation. Having never served myself, I am but a sheeple. But I hold all sheepdogs in a place of great honor for all they do to protect me and my family. Please give him my most sincere thanks for his service.

:patriot: My sincere thanks to your son, and his fellow service members, who stand in harms way for their nation. And to you proud father for your bringing his patriotism to our attention. As Texans and Americans we owe such a debt to the troopers such small tokens of appreciation should be multiplied over and over at each opportunity we are granted.
Again thanks

It is my honor as an American and as a taxpayer, to support your son and other military personnel that lay it on the line to protect our freedoms. They deserve much more than they receive!

You too deserve credit in raising a son willing to take the toughest training the Navy has to offer.

Nice to see people (CHL instructor) and our state supporting those who serve.

Pass along my regards as a former bubblehead who got to spend a week at sea with a a (now much older) team of his companions. Those guys are just plain scary - in a good scary way :)

Extreme thanks to your son and all the others that protect this great country day in and day out! We can never do enough, and I join in saying this is the tiniest little expression of our thanks that we could generate and I'm glad it's making a difference. Thank you, thank you, thank you! (And good job raising a fine son.)
