I was told that all the information is in and she would give my info to the supervisor to send it off for printing. Status on-line showed "Process...." so well see if that changes soon, I will be check daily now!

And I've got water coming in and no coffee can to bail, with no land in sight.

I actually received an email from Steven McCraw Thursday (my internet has been down till today). Of course it was linked to person "B" (the manager I think) when I hit reply and I was now emailing that person and not McCraw.
I sent an email to person "B" anyway - when it was returned "out of the office until Aug. 31, if needed contact person "C" ", I kind of laughed, decided to decode the email addresses vs. names and emailed person "C" AND Steven C. McCraw the email I originally emailed to person "B". As yet (8+ hours), the email to McCraw hasn't been returned, meaning I guessed his email address correctly.
McCraw's original email to me was an answer to the email I sent Governor Perry's office with a lot of political type gesturing type language in it. To someone who didn't really know what was going on, it sounded like a REALLY GOOD response. Unfortunately for him, It was like the typical DPS talk we all here have already gotten and when placed beside my response - it made absolutely no sense why it was taking soooo long for me to get my license (day 128 from original receipt).
Oh, and I thought since he CC'ed the Governors Chief of Staff (the person who was to relay my email to him), I thought I would do the same. I don't think the DPS talk he gave me is going to please the Gov's Chief of Staff when they read my response. Oh, and I think the "I sent you a copy of my current FFL to assist with my credentials" should pretty much seal it (I hope).
My plan is that the next time I call DPS (my every Wednesday morning call), I will be asking for him or his office instead of talking to the nice lady I have been. I guess we'll see if this does anything.

I have carried several times since I received my plastic earlier this week. But tonight I did the "Wally Walk". I didn't tell my wife until we were back in the car. I wanted to know if she noticed. She had no clue that I was carrying. Now I just have to get used to wearing my belt so tight.
Ok all, I'm getting a little anxious as to why our CHL's are taking so long. Can anyone give me some guidance for my wife and I?

Just call DPS, I promise they will give you every single excuse in the book. A different one every time you call too. Usually, Presidential Election, or Hurricane Ike. Yes, I am referring to an election that was several months ago, and a storm that was a YEAR ago.
