I applied, paid, and recieved my pin online and sent in everything after my class on March 13. they recieved my packet on the 14th yet they didn't being processing my application until the end of April??? It sat on a desk for a month and a half, Harris County has nothing to do with that... and to add... I have called Harris County twice and both times they confirmed that my BC was completed and sent to DPS on August 2 yet DPS is insisting that "just recieved it" as of August 15??? Are you kidding me??
KtaAggie10, do you still have the contact information for Harris County when it comes to back ground check?
Yes, No just wondering if you have the numbers for the Harris County calls you made to confirm your background check?

Well, after many calls, emails, letters (only my rep replied) and 174 days I got my plastic in the mail today! I am ready for a Wally Walk I guess, though I am not sure what that exactly refers to. Perhaps carrying into a WalMart?

puma guy, here's a classic Wally Walk, demonstrated by our very own USA1. Notice how he strolls through the required isles, and picks things up and puts them down. :smilelol5: "rlol"

Well I can't compete with that. I did go to Sam's Club today. I guess that would be a Sammy Saunter. Does that qualify? :txflag:

I am at day 146, so what got accomplished today? Well, for starters I faxed a letter to my state rep, then called to verify delivery. The lady asked, "is it a two paged letter?" I replied, yes, then she stated she placed it in his inbox, so hopefully he has seen it or will see it soon. Afterward, I took the same fax letter, copied and emailed it to DPS, I also Cc'ed DPS Director Steven McCraw. My fingers are crossed. :txflag: :patriot:
