The TABC Might want to know about this. By law, they are supposed to post it in a publically viewable location, and freely present it to anyone who asks, no questions asked. Plain and simple.

Did they eventually show you the paperwork? What did it say?

"SIGN=RED" Means 51% location
"SIGN=BLUE" Means it is not.

I usually don't check my status too often, but when I saw that some May application were getting their licenses, I decided to check my status.

PANIC! The site said: "No application or license/certificate active". After three attempts to log in and I kept getting the same result, I finally realized that I was entering the instructor license link and not the CHL one! DUH! :shock: Once I logged on to the correct site I saw the good old "Processing Application". I never thought I would glad to see that phrase. :rolll

@ dicion - Couldn't see it because it was posted too high above the bar. They didn't not show it to me, but the bartender didn't know where it was and the owner was irritated that I asked. There's another place in town like this. The restaurant and bars have different owners and separate licenses or something. So, according to them, they are allowed to post the 51% sign. I think that a blue sign needs to be posted at the entry to the restaurant and a red sign should go on to door to the bar.

I also think it might be shady that they have two owners and can get away with that. How does that work? If you order a beer at dinner then the bar sells to the restaurant and the restaurant sells to you? I don't get a separate ticket, and even in the bar my credit card slip looks exactly the same as the restaurant.

But I don't think I'll be going back to their bar anyway. It had an air of high school about it. Very cliquey, too young, not my type of people. And the owner was a jerk about me asking to see the license.

Look at that, people in May getting there license. :mad5 :banghead: :nono:
Gosh dw, what are you complaining about? You didn't even make it into the "+100" club! :lol:
Super congrats!

Oh I have every right to complain. I am at about day 135-140ish. That is my point!!!! I am well within the 100 club. It ticks me off that new May applicants are getting their license on 08/07/2009, like it shows there. I applied first, I get my license first. That is how the system needs to work. I believe you miss understood my previous post.

Those are not his dates, but rather, someone else's.

He is commenting on someone else's dates, and them being a may applicant, getting their license before he has. I cannot readily find his dates.

dwdog: I believe people (myself included) misunderstood your post a page ago. They assumed the dates you posted were your own. I believe now, that you were attempting to quote someone else's dates.

Can you please post your dates for reference?

Exactly you guys got it, I commented on someone else's dates. Mine would start at March 26th. That is my point. Of course I am not mad at anyone in the May waiting time frame for getting their license first, but I am very T'ed off at DPS.

My gosh dude, that's incredible! Congrats!

Maybe Tarrant county has its act together, and expedites the background check. Here's hoping. ;-)
