Good going dwdog!
Yours is along the same timeline as mine Except DPS misspelled my name.
When I called them they said I did it "rlol"
Told them no I know how to spell it.
Called yesterday to see if they fixed of course not.
Since I had them on the phone asked if they needed new photos, prints, blood, etc.
Was told just waiting on bg check.
Great under a misspelled name.
Asked if this would start me all over and was told no.
We'll see :banghead:

Misspelled your name? Seriously?
I mean.. is it spelled right on your driver's license? What about the Application? On the Tr-100? Maybe on the check you sent in.... no, apparently you spelled it wrong on all of those, huh?

Good job DPS... and then they actually blamed it on you... :thumbs2:  :totap:

Ok did I read it wrong or what? I got my application back as incomplete. I didn't list my existing 5 years residents or job history. I was under the understanding that if I had live there or worked there 5 years or more that was all they needed. No! they want you to list how long you were there. So I filled out the back side. My bad. Well they said it would take about 2 to 3 weeks for it to get back into the stream of paperwork.
Congrats to all the May applicants that have received their plastic. I am still patiently waiting.

Going right home to check the mail! :thewave
Got it on Friday! Just happened to be a gun show in Abilene on Saturday. I didn't find anything I liked, but I picked up a little .22 deringer at a pawn shop. Did my "Academy Walk" today. Didn't have any reason to go to Wal-Mart. I was terrified, i thought for some reason that the theft prevention devices would ring when I passed through. (I know better, but I was just paranoid).

Went to a restaurant, didn't carry because there was the possibility I might drink. Walked into another restaurant later and I think they have an improperly posted 51% sign.

Is there an "etiquette" post about going into places?

I guess if you consider the post office, it took right at 90 days. May 2nd to Aug. 7th. (Technically, they put it in the mail Monday).

I did my "Academy Walk", I was really freaked out. Went into two restaurants, one I think has an improper 51% sign. It's crazy how defensive they get when you ask to see their liquor license.
