Welcome Mike. Don't hold your breath for the TX license to arrive before the UT license. However, you likely will get your TX license long before your Harris County (Houston) brothers who submit their applications around the same time.mike_g26 wrote:Ok....here we go!

Re: August 2009 Applications
Well, I'm in for Aug too. Certified Mail tracking shows package at destination PO to be delivered tomorrow (08/06/2009).
I'm hoping 1 address, 1 job, clean living and military record will grease the skids. I've lived and worked in Travis and Williamson counties for the last 16 years.
Package ended up showing delivered on USPS website:
Delivered AUSTIN TX 78761 08/05/09 9:06am

You'd think...android wrote: I'm hoping 1 address, 1 job, clean living and military record will grease the skids. I've lived and worked in Travis and Williamson counties for the last 16 years.
Then again, I was military, and I've filled out more SF86's then I care to admit to in my civilian job as well. Didn't help one bit :)
(I actually keep a SF86 current in my fire safe, and update it about once a year, just so I don't have to re-do it from scratch ever again)
IANAL, YMMV, ITEOTWAWKI and all that.

Re: August 2009 Applications
Well, count me in on this club!! This of course, is my first post!! Took chl class with my mom and dad on Sat 08/01/09. Mailed it in certified and return receipt on Mon 08/03/09 in the afternoon. My parents are mailing theirs out today...We'll see who gets them first.
As for what the post above me says, I really hope that's not true. In the previous 5 years that they make you account for on the app, I have lived in 3 states and 4 different addresses...If that actually delays the processing then all i have to say is OUCH...LOL

Re: August 2009 Applications
Well, I guess I've finally settled down in the August Applications bunch. If you look at my signature line, I've drawn it out alllllll summer. Phew, what a job. That was worse than applying for a mortgage, or for college! (at least it was for me).
It's in the mail now, and I already have a bad omen. I mailed it certified mail, return receipt requested, and the cost? Try $6.66.
I know! Uggghhh. Why couldn't it have been $6.67 or something like that?
I'm just glad it's in the mail now. Ciao!
